Haskoning in Zürich is seeking a Junior Project Manager (MCF/Data Centres) to support multidisciplinary design and engineering for leading data centre clients worldwide. You will work under senior project managers, helping manage scope, budget, and schedule across international teams.

You will collaborate with country directors and engineers, develop your skills, and gradually take on smaller projects. Fluent English and German are valued, with travel across our international network.

What will you do as a Junior Project Manager (MCF/ Data Centres)

As a Junior Project Manager, you must prove yourself to some of the most demanding customers in the world and work pro‑actively with colleagues across the globe. In this role, you will assist in the delivery of multidisciplinary design and engineering projects, working closely with senior project managers, engineering teams and a wide range of clients. Under the guidance of experienced project and design managers, you will develop professionally while taking responsibility for agreed tasks and, over time, managing smaller projects independently.

Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• assisting senior project managers in leading and managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and supporting the delivery of coordinated design packages;


• supporting the management of time, budget and contractual aspects of projects to ensure successful completion;


• working directly with the Country Director, project managers and technical specialists to help manage project scope, budget and programme;


• acting proactively towards clients and internal stakeholders, supporting consultancy activities and maintaining effective communication;


• taking responsibility for assigned tasks and smaller projects, while developing your skills and shaping your own learning path within MCF projects.

As our new Junior Project Manager (MCF/ Data Centres) you will become part of our local team Next Haskoning. This team provides consultancy services for data centre clients and includes professionals from various fields such as engineering, construction, and architecture. The team works on integrated designs for data centers and has completed various projects. Working with this team means joining a leading market and a dedicated and passionate team. You will be employed by NEXT Haskoning Switzerland AG, the collaboration between local Swiss firm Confirm AG and Haskoning.

What you bring

You Are a Dependable, Proactive And Self‑motivated Professional With a Flexible, Adaptive And Innovative Mindset, And a Strong Appreciation For Complex Technical Projects In An International Context. Besides That, You Have

• experience in project management within the design, construction or industrial sectors, including managing whole or parts of design projects, overseeing contracts, and working with robust financial management to support effective project delivery;


• proven ability to work on complex, high‑end technical projects in a rapidly growing market, with experience using MS Office and MS Project or equivalent tools;


• experience working in an international environment, with the ability and willingness to travel short‑, medium‑and long‑term;


• excellent written and verbal communication skills, combined with strong organisational, analytical and time‑management capabilities, as well as strong interpersonal skills;


• excellent command of the English language and a strong command of the German language, both spoken and written;


• strong administrative skills, with the ability to manage project documentation, reporting and related administrative processes accurately and efficiently;


• project management qualifications are considered an advantage.
