Junior Mechanical Engineer for CMS Experiment

Placering: CERN

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer (ORIGIN) to lead the design, procurement and on-site implementation of a reinforced passage bridge in UXC55, and to support associated heavy lifting operations for the HL (High Luminosity) upgrades. In this role you will act as the technical coordinator for the reinforced bridge that will allow passage of the Endcap Calorimeters structures. You will manage the full lifecycle from concept and detailed design through procurement, manufacturing follow-up and site installation, and you will support the monitoring and execution of heavy lifting activities.

Be sure to meet the eligibility criteria

• By the application deadline, you have a maximum of 2 years of professional experience since graduation in the respective field and your highest educational qualification is either a bachelor’s or master’s degree. You must have a university degree and can’t hold a PhD.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
