Job summary

Energy technology in Zürich seeks an Electrical Drafting professional to create schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation for high-voltage GIS substation projects. You will support design from base to detailed manufacturing documentation within an engineering team.

The role requires 2-3 years in electrical engineering design, CAD experience, and good English (German advantageous). 80-100% workload with 3–6 months interim before a permanent position.

Qualifications

• Completed apprenticeship (EFZ) as Electrical Draftsman, Automation Technician, Electrical Technician, or comparable qualification.
• 2-3 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design, drafting, automation, or engineering project execution.
• Further education such as Technician School (HF) or Technical College preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare schematics and engineering documents for GIS secondary engineering scopes, including LCC and digital substation applications.
• Support engineering execution from base design and detail design through manufacturing documentation and as-built updates.
• Create preliminary BOMs, reports, and manufacturing documents using approved engineering tools and standard processes.
• Perform structured self-checks and contribute to standard-compliant deliverables.
• Support technical clarifications with stakeholders, project teams, and factories, and document open points.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and engineering best practices.
• Apply internal guidelines, engineering standards, and quality requirements.
