Galaxus is seeking an Analytics Engineer to simplify decision-making through data, automation, and analytics expertise. You will model data with SQL, build dashboards, and perform deep-dive analyses to support business decisions in a cross-functional Scrum team.
The role requires 1-3 years of relevant experience, a completed degree, and English proficiency (German welcome). Flexible to work from home with Swiss presence preferred.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and further developing and shaping our various products (e.g., provider reporting and profitability)
Model and transform data using SQL to build business-aligned data models that form a reliable foundation for reporting, analytics, and data science
Build and maintain dashboards and automated reports that present data clearly and enable stakeholders to access insights independently
Conduct deep-dive analyses using SQL and Python to answer concrete business questions, create meaningful insights, and support data-driven decision-making
Work in a cross-functional Scrum team (data architect, analytics engineer, data scientist, product owner, team lead) to tackle complex initiatives

Relevant experience in data modeling and analytics, gained through professional experience and/or a degree in a relevant field, including hands-on analysis, building dashboards, and supporting business decisions

Comfortable working with SQL with exposure to ELT processes and a motivation to further develop technical skills. Experience with Python or R would be advantageous
Experience with data transformation tools such as dataform or dbt is a plus

Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) with the ability to derive actionable insights

Fluent in English, with good working proficiency in German or a strong willingness to learn

You have strong problem-solving skills, a good technical understanding and an above-average ability to understand complex relationships, and can work independently or as part of a team
