Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in Android development with Kotlin.
• Completed degree in computer science (or equivalent).
• Fluent German or English; strong proficiency in the other language.
• Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, MVVM, Hilt, Gradle experience.
• Experience with Android testing (unit/UI tests).
• Willingness to learn Swift/React/.NET for cross-platform collaboration.

• Responsibility for advancing our mobile apps (Digitec & Galaxus) with room for creative ideas to enhance the consistency of the mobile shopping experience
• Taking ownership of the entire app cycle and continuously improving quality by addressing issues, planning and executing refactoring efforts
• Opportunity to cross-collaborate on our iOS, Web Frontend, and Backend platforms as interests and skills develop
• Within the team, the agile process is shaped collectively, focusing on small tasks with short iterations to maximize customer value
• Supporting less experienced engineers in their daily work and actively sharing knowledge strengthens the team as a whole
• Open, transparent and clear communication is essential; providing and receiving constructive feedback is encouraged

What you will bring

• 3+ years in Android development with demonstrable Kotlin expertise
• Completed degree in computer science (or equivalent relevant professional experience)
• German – very good knowledge
• English – very good knowledge (mandatory)
• Passion for Android app development, with expertise in Kotlin, Compose, Coroutines, MVVM, Hilt and Gradle (highly valued)
• Openness to working on an app that incorporates WebViews (mandatory)
• Curiosity and willingness to learn other technologies such as Swift (iOS), React (Web Frontend) and .NET (Backend) as part of cross-platform collaboration (mandatory)
• Familiarity with testing Android apps, including unit tests and UI tests, is expected (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of agile software development principles is beneficial
• Demonstrating the courage to take risks and act on convictions under uncertainty (mandatory)
• A willingness to challenge "how things have always been done" and propose more efficient, automated or effective solutions (mandatory)
• Either fluent German with English proficiency or fluent English with existing German skills or a strong motivation to learn German on the job with support from our education programs (mandatory)
