Zusammenfassung

Zühlke Engineering AG in Switzerland is seeking a Java Fullstack Engineer to design and implement versatile customer projects in the web and enterprise space, tailored to customer needs using modern, agile methods.

You will collaborate with customers, visit them 2–3 times weekly, and work with developers to deliver clean, scalable software while embracing Dev-Ops practices and modern frontend frameworks like Angular or React.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 1–2 years of proven experience as a Java Developer.
• Customer-focused with ability to support projects as a Java Fullstack Engineer using Angular/React or similar frontend frameworks.
• Knowledge of Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in agile methodologies and working in agile teams.
• Fluency in German and English (C1).

Aufgaben

• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business and translate requirements into high quality software.
• Visit customers around 2–3 times per week.
• Work with teammates to write clean, maintainable code using pair- and mob-programming.
• Support the entire software lifecycle with a Dev-Ops mindset from ideation to production.
• Automate quality checks from the start using TDD and specification by example.
• Keep up to date with technologies and share knowledge.

The role

As part of a team, you will design & implement versatile customer projects in the web and enterprise environment that are tailored to customer needs using modern, agile project methods.

How you’ll make impact

• Collaborate closely with customers to understand their business and translate requirements into high quality software.Expect to visit our customers around 2-3 times per week.
• Engage with developers on your team to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code leveraging methodologies such as pair- and mob-programming.
• Learn and grow on the project by incorporating feedback from your team members to fully unlock your potential.
• Support the entire software lifecycle with your Dev-Ops mentality from ideation to production.
• Automate quality checks right from the start using techniques such as test-driven development and specification by example.
• Continuously keep up to date with the latest technologies & trends and share your knowledge.

What’s important to us

• You have a Bachelor’s degree (FH, Uni, ETH or similar) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• You have 1-2 years of proven experience as a Java Developer with a good understanding of object-oriented programming and best practices.
• You put the customer first and support the project’s success as a Java Fullstack Engineer with the latest JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React or similar frameworks in the frontend.
• You bring some knowledge in different technologies, such as Spring Boot, JPA/Hibernate, databases, RESTful APIs, messaging, container orchestration, microservices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• You have some experiencein agile methodologies and have worked within agile development teams
• You are a goodcommunicator, team player and problem solver and are fluent in German and English (at least C1 level)
