Swisslinx AG is seeking an IT/OT Support Administrator to bridge global IT teams with the local chemical manufacturing site in Geneva. The role focuses on end-user support, network and server assistance, documentation, asset management and IT-OT project execution on a 3-year program.

The candidate will provide Level 2/3 desktop and infrastructure support, coordinate with international teams, and contribute to security and application deployments at the site.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years IT industry experience, ideally in manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows platforms (Windows 10 and Windows Server variants).
• Solid networking understanding (TCP/IP, devices, configurations).
• Experience with printers/copiers from HP/Xerox/Zebra is a plus.
• Fluency in English; French is desirable.

The role sits within the Global Field Service Organization, supporting multiple IT and Manufacturing functions, including IT Infrastructure and Operations, Security Engineering and Operations, and Manufacturing IT Applications.

The position acts as a bridge between global IT teams and the local manufacturing site, ensuring proper IT-OT integration, support and execution of both IT and manufacturing projects.

The IT/OT Systems Administrator will be part of an international team working on a 3-year project and act as the link between global IT teams and the local chemical manufacturing site. Key responsibilities include end user support, network troubleshooting, server support, documentation, asset management, and assisting with IT OT projects and system upgrades.

• Support for industrial control systems (ICS), process control networks, and automation environments

Responsibilities

• Resolve Level 2/3 incidents and service requests (phone, email, walk-up, portal) within SLA
• Provision and maintain desktop/laptop hardware, peripherals, and software
• Pilot and support Windows OS image deployments, updates, patches
• Coordinate planned and unplanned IT service outages with stakeholders
• Escalate incidents according to Incident Response procedures
• Maintain documentation and knowledge base for fixes and procedures
• Support Lifecycle Management projects (Compute, IT-OT Infrastructure, DCS, Applications)
• Support implementation of new technologies (Digital Plant, IMM, PI, MES, LIMS, etc.)
• Handle procurement and goods receipt for IT and manufacturing projects
• Assist with IT asset tracking (logical and physical)
• Support Windows server administration, backup, and recovery
• Coordinate maintenance requests related to power, HVAC, cabling, etc.
• Assist with monitoring and network administration, including change and incident management
• Support IT Security teams with vulnerability and security incident response
• Support antivirus and WSUS patch management for enterprise systems
• Assist ICS Security and Infrastructure teams with process control network maintenance
• Coordinate IT-OT support for capital projects from design to commissioning
• Collaborate with process control, maintenance, instrumentation, and operations teams to prioritize work
• Support the Manufacturing MOC process for control system changes
• Collaborate with IT and Security architects to update architecture diagrams and network connection documentation

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT industry experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows platforms (Windows 10, Windows Server 2017, 2019, 2022)
• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, router and switch configuration)
• Hands‑on experience with HP, Xerox, and Zebra printers/copiers
• Fluency in English (and ideally French)

Desired Qualifications

• Fortinet NSE – Network Security Expert
• Experience with Hyper‑V or VMware
• Experience with Fortinet or Palo Alto firewalls
• Cisco switch configuration and administration
• Experience with acceptance testing and commissioning of equipment and systems
