Job summary

LGT Capital Partners AG, based in Pfaeffikon or London, seeks an Investment Professional to join the global Hedge Funds manager selection team. You will lead sourcing, screening, analysis and execution of investments across Hedge Funds strategies.

The role involves in-depth due diligence, financial modeling, and presenting proposals to the investment committee; you will interact with portfolio management teams and clients during reviews.

Qualifications

• University degree in finance/economics required.
• Progress toward CFA designation strongly preferred.
• Minimum 4–6 years in Hedge Funds manager selection.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing, screening, analysis and execution of Hedge Funds investments.
• Perform in-depth due diligence, modeling and present investment proposals.
• Interact with portfolio management teams on multi-alternatives portfolios.
• Support client reviews and ad-hoc requests with investment content.
• Prepare market analysis and research related to Hedge Funds.
• Assist fundraising activities and client meetings as needed.

Job description

Job Description LGT CP’s Liquid Markets Hedge Funds investment unit is managing portfolio solutions and customized mandates covering all relevant Hedge Fund sub-strategies. LGT CP is expanding their global Hedge Funds manager selection team with an additional Investment Professional based in either Pfaeffikon, Switzerland or London, UK. The team is in charge of all external manager allocations in public markets, whereby most of these allocations are implemented as segregated managed accounts by taking advantage of LGT CP’s proprietary platform.

Role and Responsibilities

• Integral member of the global Hedge Funds manager selection team with the ability to lead the sourcing, screening, analysis and execution of investments
• Perform in-depth investment due diligence, conduct analysis and modeling and lead investment proposals for the investment committee
• Interact with portfolio management teams on multi-alternatives and Hedge Funds portfolios as well as client mandates on investment themes and other relevant investment content
• Support and facilitate interaction with internal and external clients on periodic investment reviews and ad-hoc requests
• Prepare market analysis / research relating to Hedge Funds and portfolios
• Support BUD and fund-raising process related to Hedge Funds by attending client meetings selectively.

Requirements

• University degree in finance/economics
• Progress toward CFA designation is strongly preferred
• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in Hedge Funds manager selection, including systematic-/quantitative HFs-strategies
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Collaborative team player with sound business judgment and interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively;
• Willingness to travel frequently
