Job summary

Flexion, a Zurich-based robotics company, seeks an intern to join the manipulation team and advance learning-based controllers for humanoids. You will work with engineers and researchers across manipulation, RL, and motion generation, gaining hands-on robotics experience by training models and deploying them on real hardware.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a PhD or nearing Master’s graduation in robotics, ML, or CV, with strong Python and PyTorch skills and experience in dexterous manipulation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD, or a Master's student close to graduation in robotics, core ML, computer vision, or a related field
• Excellent knowledge of Python and PyTorch
• Experience in dexterous manipulation and robot control
• Experience with diffusion models and reinforcement learning
• Experience deploying experiments on real robotic hardware
• Experience with ROS and perception models

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and deployment of learning-based controllers for dexterous manipulation on our humanoid robot
• Train models and deploy them on physical hardware

About Flexion:

At Flexion, we're building the intelligence layer powering the next generation of humanoid robots. Our mission is to accelerate the transition from fragile prototypes to real-world deployment of humanoids. The Role:

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our manipulation team and contribute to the development and deployment of learning-based controllers for dexterous manipulation on our humanoid robot.

You will work closely with top engineers and researchers across our manipulation, reinforcement learning, and motion generation teams. This is a hands-on role where you will gain real-world robotics experience by contributing to state-of-the-art research and development initiatives - from training models to deploying them on physical hardware.

• Currently pursuing a PhD, or a Master's student close to graduation in robotics, core ML, computer vision, or a related field

• Experience in dexterous manipulation and robot control (e.g. as part of a thesis or research project)
