Art Recognition AG, a Zurich-based technology company, offers an internship to join our technical team working on AI-powered art analysis and authentication. You will gain hands-on experience applying machine learning, deep learning and computer vision to real-world art-related challenges.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, access internal tools, and contribute to both day-to-day AI operations and ongoing R&D.

Art Recognition AG is a Zurich-based technology company developing AI-powered methods for the analysis and authentication of artworks.

Our technology uses computer vision and deep learning to identify visual characteristics in an artist's work and assess previously unseen artworks. We work at the intersection of art, artificial intelligence, computer vision, and scientific research.

We are looking for a motivated intern to join our technical team and contribute to both our day-to-day AI operations and ongoing research and development.

Tasks

As part of the technical team, you will gain hand-on experience applying AI and computer vision to real-world challenges in the art world.

Depending on the project, your work may include:

• Preparing, collecting, and structuring image datasets
• Training our AI models on new artists and datasets
• Performing AI analyses on artwork images submitted by clients
• Reviewing and interpreting model results together with the team
• Supporting experiments aimed at improving our algorithms
• Contributing to ongoing computer vision and AI research projects
• Helping us explore new approaches and tools relevant to art authentication

You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team and receive access to the internal tools, code, and expertise needed to perform the analyses.

Requirements

We would be happy to hear from students or recent graduates with an interest in applying AI to an unusual and meaningful real-world domain.

Ideally, you have:

• Some previous experience with machine learning or deep learning
• An interest in computer vision and image analysis
• A strong interest in working at the intersection of AI, technology, and art
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• A good command of English

Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS is a plus.
