Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Staff Planning Tool Intern in Geneva to help redesign staff planning for eight laboratory departments. You will work with the Laboratory Resource Planning team and gain exposure to Labcorp’s global business and culture.

The role requires current enrolment in a relevant degree program with the possibility of a 5–6 month, full-time internship (flexible to 80%). English and French at an intermediate level are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
• Preferred enrolment in a Master’s degree program.
• Student eligible for internship agreement with third party.
• Intermediate level in English and French.

Responsibilities

• Review existing lab staff plannings in Excel and identify limitations.
• Propose and design an improved staff planning tool for management.
• Develop staffing plans for eight lab departments considering HR rules, part-time, absences and trainings.
• Train supervisors to use the new planning tool.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to implement the planning solution.

Labcorp is seeking a Staff Planning Tool Intern to join our Laboratory Resource Planning team in Geneva.

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday.

40hrs per week (with flexibility to consider an 80% working schedule)

Job Responsibilities:

• Look at the existing plannings currently in use in the laboratories (Excel based) and understand the limitations and requirements
• Propose a better, easily adjustable tool to manage the staff planning to the management team
• Develop a new staff planning for each of the eight lab departments, integrating the constraints (HR rules, part-time, absences, specific bench trainings requirements)
• Train the supervisors to use the planning

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current enrolment in a Bachelor’s degree program

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current enrolment in a Master’s degree program

Additional Job Standards:

• You must be a student and be eligible for an internship agreement with a third party
• Intermediate level in English and French
• Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and internal/external colleagues.
• Ability to embrace diverse ways of thinking through various forms of collaboration and partnership.

About the Team:

The Laboratory Resource Planning team is in charge of developing tools and forecasts to support and enhance the production in the laboratory.
