The UN Secretariat invites a capable intern to join the UNOG Medical Service in Geneva. The role focuses on reorganizing and completing the Quality Management Handbook, reviewing procedures, and aligning with ISO standards within the UN framework.

Aimed for completion by the end of 2025, the internship supports professional care for UN staff through standardized SOPs and robust documentation. The candidate will interview team members, draft updated procedures, and collaborate with UN

Qualifications

• Applicants must be enrolled in or have completed a graduate school program in a field related to international occupational/public health.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French or another UN language is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Review and understand existing procedures, UN guidelines, and ISO standards relevant to occupational health.
• Assess the current Quality Management Handbook, identifying missing SOPs.
• Propose a standardized, easily updatable format for all SOPs.
• Develop a project plan for handbook updates.
• Interview team members to validate existing SOPs and gather input for new ones.
• Consult with other UN stakeholders to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Draft the updated handbook, incorporate feedback, and present the final version to management.
