Zusammenfassung

FenX, a spin-off from ETH Zurich, invites an intern to join the Technical Team in Turgi, Switzerland. You will co-develop porous minerals, produce prototypes, and help transfer formulations to the prototyping line while performing material characterization and supporting certifications.

Ideal candidates hold a BSc in materials science or related fields, are hands-on, and work well in a team. Proficiency in English and German is preferred; a Swiss work permit is required.

FenX is a spin-off from ETH Zurich. We tackle the world’s energy and greenhouse gas challenge by bringing technology and innovation to the building insulation market. Our first impact product is a high-performance building insulation panel incorporating mineral waste materials. It is cost effective, fully recyclable and has a low CO2 footprint.

Tasks

• Co-development of porous minerals, production of prototypes, quality control.
• Transfer of R&D formulations to the prototyping plant.
• Material characterization and support on material certification.

• Support on operating and maintaining the prototyping line.
• Support of the technical team on other issues as required.

Requirements

• Ideally BSc in ETH/FH materials science, mechanical, civil engineering or related degrees
