K2 University is seeking an experienced Domain Integration Architect to lead a major enterprise transformation toward a composable, domain-driven architecture. The role supports a 12-month contract with 4 days per week in a hybrid on-site/remote setting.

You will drive API-led and event-driven integration initiatives, working across SAP CPI, MuleSoft, and other platforms while coordinating with Product Area and Integration Platform teams to deliver focused 4–8 week migration cycles.

Domain Integration Architect – External Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Domain Integration Architect to support a major enterprise transformation from tightly coupled, point-to-point integrations toward a composable, domain-driven architecture.

Assignment

• 12-month contract, starting ASAP
• 4 days per week
• Hybrid on-site/remote engagement
• External consultancy model

Key responsibilities

• Build an inventory of APIs, batch files, SAP custom code, RFCs, and hidden dependencies.
• Create a transformation dashboard and define practical transition KPIs.
• Facilitate collaboration between Product Area and Integration Platform teams.
• Deliver incremental migration initiatives in focused 4–8-week cycles.
• Establish conventions for API naming, versioning, ownership, and system/process layers.
• Coach teams in DDD, API-led connectivity, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Prepare the final handover and capability-transfer plan.

Required experience

• Strong enterprise integration architecture and Domain-Driven Design expertise.
• Hands-on knowledge of API-led and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with one or more of Kong, Solace, SAP CPI, or MuleSoft.
• Proven delivery of incremental modernization in SAP-centric environments.
• Familiarity with patterns such as Strangler Fig, anti-corruption layers, CDC, and Outbox.
• Confidence working with both engineering teams and senior executives.
