Job summary

Aiglon College, located in the Swiss Alps, seeks a Head of Junior Curriculum and Academics (Up to Year 8) to join from August 2027. The role blends leadership with teaching duties, guiding the Junior School’s curriculum and Mountain School initiatives, in an international setting with a commitment to safeguarding and holistic education.

Qualifications

• Experienced Junior/Prep school leader with international experience.
• Expertise in junior curriculum development and Mountain School.
• Knowledge of project-based learning or biophilic education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the junior school and its educational provision, deputising for the Director of Junior School as required.
• Establish and implement a vision for world-class education at Aiglon.
• Ensure curriculum is relevant, broad, balanced and effective across school life.
• Oversee planning, monitoring and promotion of academic and student welfare matters.
• Uphold the ethos and values of the school and model staff and students.
• Participate in whole-school strategic planning and leadership groups.
• Line manage Year 5–6 classroom teachers and coordinate Mountain School.
