Job summary

Netcloud is seeking a (Senior) Platform Engineer to operate a sovereign Kubernetes-based cloud platform in Switzerland. You will administer, operate, and continuously develop the platform with focus on security, stability, performance, and maintainability.

You will join a team of Platform Engineers delivering end-to-end cloud services and collaborate with architecture, security and engineering peers to drive platform evolution.

Qualifications

• Solid experience with Linux and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Automation experience with Ansible, Terraform or GitOps.
• Enjoy working on platform operations and development.

• You administer, operate and continuously develop a sovereign cloud platform based on Kubernetes.

• Solid experience in Linux operation of complex platforms
• Experience with Kubernetes in a production environment
• Several years of experience in automation and standardisation (experience with Ansible, Terraform, GitOps or similar) and working with Git

Advantageous:

• Experience with Red Hat OpenShift
• Know-how in networking, storage and/or virtualisation
• Experience with security, IAM or backup concepts
• Experience in AI and GPU topics

You will become part of a team of 9 Platform Engineers who operate and further develop the Netcloud Public Cloud – end-to-end: from physical infrastructure, through network, storage, compute & virtualisation up to IaaS, PaaS and AIaaS levels.

We are responsible for the entire stack and work daily on cross-cutting topics such as security, backup, monitoring, logging, IAM and automation. At the same time, we drive the expansion of our platform in the areas of GPU computing, AI workloads and modern cloud-native technologies. We operate in a demanding technology ecosystem with over 50 tools and technologies.
