Alaa Alhayek on an Ambizione project studying how Staphylococcus aureus crosses intact human skin, identifying entry routes and host containment strategies. Ideal candidates hold a Biology degree (Bachelor/Master) or Laboratory Technician qualification, with bio-lab experience in cell/tissue culture, molecular biology, and microbiology.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Biology or related field (Bachelor/Master) or equivalent Laboratory Technician qualification.
• Experience in cell/tissue culture, molecular biology, and microbiology is desirable.
• Experience with human tissue, histology, confocal microscopy, RNA FISH, image analysis or BSL-2 work is advantageous but not required.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with Dr. Alaa Alhayek on an Ambizione project investigating how Staphylococcus aureus crosses intact human skin.
• Work closely with the Ambizione project leader within the Bumann Lab and Biozentrum and participate in training on ex vivo tissue models, microbiological methods, advanced microscopy and quantitative image analysis.
