Job summary

Swisslinx AG is seeking a Senior Abacus ERP Specialist to own and optimize the Abacus ERP environment across Supply Chain and Finance. The role combines functional oversight with hands-on technical delivery and will work with an external implementation partner to transform toward Abacus Version 26.

You will translate business needs into technical requirements, lead workshops across functions, and ensure practical, maintainable solutions while driving system improvements and post-transformation

We are supporting an international technology company looking for a Senior Abacus ERP Specialist to take ownership of its ERP environment across , Supply Chain and Finance.

• Own the Abacus ERP environment across , Supply Chain and Finance, combining functional oversight with technical understanding.
• Translate business processes and requirements into functional specifications, technical delivery requirements, backlog items and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee the external implementation partner, review recommendations and ensure maintainable solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Play a leading internal role in the Abacus Version 26 transformation, including design reviews, configuration, testing and release readiness.
• Challenge legacy workarounds and unnecessary customisation, promoting standard Abacus functionality whereverpractical.
• Use development experience to assess technical feasibility, investigate issues and guide solution design.
• Provide input into integrations, data flows, reporting dependencies, automation and system controls.
• Lead workshops and build agreement across functions, explaining technical options and trade-offs clearly.
• Support incident resolution, documentation and knowledge transfer to enable independent platform maintenance.
• Continue to optimise the system and business processes after the transformation.

About the customer:

You will act as the internal expert connecting business requirements with technical delivery. Working with business stakeholders, IT colleagues and an external Abacus implementation partner, you will turn operational needs into clear,

practical solutions and oversee their delivery.

During the transformation, the external partner will undertake much of the development work. You will challenge recommendations constructively, validate technical and functional design decisions, and ensure the solution meets business needs without unnecessary complexity.

Beyond the project, you will take ongoing ownership of the platform, maintaining and improving the system and its supporting processes.

Requirements:

• Strong senior-level Abacus ERP experience, with substantial hands-on technical and development expertise.
• Ideally, experience as a senior Abacus developer followed by progression into technical-functional consulting, solution ownership or a comparable role.
• Broad working knowledge across , Supply Chain and Finance, rather than a single module.
• Ability to understand solutions at technical level while working confidently with business teams to define requirements and oversee delivery.
• Practical experience in Abacus configuration, support, upgrades and ongoing system maintenance.
• Experience working with external implementation partners, reviewing proposals, challenging assumptions and monitoring delivery.
• Strong business-analysis and process-design skills, with a pragmatic approach to simplifying complex requirements.
• Confident stakeholder management and ability to influence decisions without formal authority.
• Proficiency in English; is a nice-to-have.
• Existing eligibility to work in Switzerland.

Important: This role requires more than purely functional consulting or business-analysis experience: technical depth is essential.
