Job summary

Die Schweizerische Post AG is seeking a cloud and hybrid identity engineer in Bern to design authentication platforms and shape our hybrid identity landscape. You will combine Active Directory with Microsoft Entra ID, cloud engineering, automation and modern authentication technologies.

You will work with experienced specialists to develop hybrid identity platforms, enabling secure, modern authentication across Swiss Post.

Qualifications

• Completed IT training or degree with a focus on information technology.
• In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID.
• Familiar with hybrid identity environments and modern authentication procedures.
• Experience with Git, infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform.
• Agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) are familiar.
• Knowledge of scripting, coding, identity federation, security, GitHub and AI is advantageous.
• Strong independence, structured approach, English fluency and good German knowledge; periodic on-call work included.

Responsibilities

• Operate and develop hybrid identity platforms focusing on Active Directory and Entra ID.
• Automate configurations, deployments and recurring processes using GitOps and IaC.
• Analyze disruptions and implement sustainable technical improvements.
• Contribute to the further development of hybrid identity, modern authentication and cloud platforms.
• Advise internal and external partners on secure integration of applications and services.
• From technical analysis to implementation and documentation, take responsibility for solutions.
• Collaborate across engineering, automation and operations to design robust solutions.

As a cloud and hybrid identity engineer, you help to design key authentication and authorization platforms and shape the future of our hybrid identity landscape. You combine the Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID with cloud engineering, automation and modern authentication technologies.

You help us to develop our hybrid identity platforms and create the basis for secure and modern authentication throughout Swiss Post. • You have in-depth knowledge of the Active Directory and practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID, ideally complemented by relevant certifications.
• You are very familiar with hybrid identity environments and modern authentication procedures.
• You already have experience with Git, infrastructure as code and automation tools such as Terraform.
• Agile working methods are second nature to you, and you are familiar with frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban or SAFe.
• Knowledge of scripting, coding, identity federation, security, GitHub and AI is an advantage. You enjoy analysing complex technical issues and working as part of a team to develop sustainable solutions.
• Your profile is further strengthened by your ability to work independently, your structured and dependable approach, your excellent command of English and your good knowledge of German. You are also prepared to provide on-call service periodically.
