OCHA in Geneva is seeking a Humanitarian Affairs Officer at the P-3 level to oversee the analysis and reporting on humanitarian developments and disaster management. This role involves coordinating across agencies through the EDG and organizing outreach on policy topics.

The incumbent will support inter-agency processes, prepare meetings and missions, and help facilitate decision-making on critical humanitarian issues in a fast-paced environment.

• Supports inter-agency coordination among the IASC’s Emergency Directors Group (EDG) members on key humanitarian issues through facilitation of inter-agency processes, including preparation and organization of virtual and in-person EDG meetings and missions.
• Organizes and prepares studies and strategic outreach on humanitarian, emergency relief and related issues; organizes follow-up work, including interagency technical review meetings to support policy development work and decision-making on important issues.

Within delegated authority, the Humanitarian Affairs Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
