Job summary

UNIL in Epalinges, Switzerland, invites applications for a Laboratory Technician. You will independently prepare, process and analyze biological samples using histology, immunohistochemistry, multiplex immunofluorescence, spatial transcriptomics and imaging techniques.

You will ensure quality, traceability, and reproducibility of analyses, support instrument maintenance, manage reagents, and train platform users in advanced technologies within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Diploma ES in Life Sciences, Biology or related field.
• Hands-on experience in histology and immunohistochemistry.
• Strong interest in multiplex imaging and spatial transcriptomics technologies.
• Autonomous, organized and detail-oriented working style.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and perform histology, immunohistochemistry, multiplex immunofluorescence and spatial transcriptomics workflows.
• Prepare, process and analyze biological samples for research projects.
• Ensure high standards of quality, traceability and reproducibility.
• Support instrument maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Train and support platform users in the application of advanced technologies.
• Contribute to the implementation and development of innovative workflows and services.
