Lonza Group Ltd. Visp site seeks a senior leader to manage all Quality and Compliance activities across Bioconjugates plants, setting up a team of supervisors and specialists, and leading the QA function.

You will partner with the Head of Operations MC1 to align manufacturing and support functions, drive the quality strategy, oversee QA CAPEX projects, and ensure compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements. English proficiency required; German an asset.

Formación

• Academic background in natural or life sciences.
• Experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing with QA/regulatory focus.
• Strong understanding of cGMP requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Manage all Quality and Compliance activities in multiple Bioconjugates plants at the Visp site.
• Set up a team of supervisors and specialists.
• Provide leadership in HR aspects including qualification, development, coaching, hiring and performance decisions.
• Develop and lead the overall quality strategy for Bioconjugates.
• Coordinate with Head of Operations MC1 to align Manufacturing and Support Functions.
• Oversee Quality CAPEX Projects and ensure milestones are met.
• Implement and manage capabilities to support investment projects.
• Train and supervise staff; drive continuous improvement in Quality Management System.
• Ensure QA responsibilities align with corporate requirements and regulatory standards.

What you will do:

• Manage all Quality and Compliance activities in multiple Bioconjugates plants of the Visp site covering different technologies.
• Setting up a team of supervisors and specialists.
• Gives leadership to the team with full responsibility for all aspects of human resource management such as qualification, development, coaching, hiring, pay decisions and discipline issues.
• Develop and lead the overall quality strategy for Bioconjugates.
• Partner with the Head of Operations MC1 and MC1 leadership team to ensure alignment of Manufacturing and Support Functions in executing the strategy.
• Oversee Quality CAPEX Projects and the respective teams ensuring quality standards and milestones are met.
• Responsible to implement and manage capabilities that support the success of the assigned investment projects
• Trains and supervises staff and works cooperatively with Ibex leadership to achieve quality and compliance goals.
• He/she champions continuous improvements efforts to establish an effective Quality Management System.
• Ensure that primary responsibilities of QA are executed in line with corporate requirements, industry best practices and current regulatory requirements (cGMPs).
• Responsible for resource and vacation planning of the assigned team members with regards to the fulfillment of all production orders.

What we are looking for:

• Academic degree in Natural Sciences/ Life Sciences.
• Significant experience in the area of biopharmaceutical manufacturing, preferably in a Quality & Compliance function as RP/ FvP.
• Strong background in cGMP is an asset.
• Strong leadership skills; very good communication skills and interaction with all kind of interfaces within the organization and with regulatory agencies (Swissmedic, FDA etc.).
• Strong team orientation.
• Structured, focused and well-organized working attitude; open-minded for new ideas and suggestions; agile, highly motivated and dynamic drive.
• Solution-oriented.
• Sound experience in representing Quality and Compliance in large investment investment projects, from planning to successful health authority inspections.
• Proficiency in English language is required; German is an advantage.
