Insight Select in Zurich is seeking a Head of Investment Operations to build the operational backbone for a hedge fund / investment management platform. The role centers on designing scalable OMS/PMS, trade settlement, risk controls, and back/middle-office infrastructure.

You will partner with senior leadership and the investment team to deliver a lean, entrepreneurial platform that supports a sophisticated trading strategy and growth.

Head of Investment Operations – Hedge Fund / Investment Management

We are partnering with a newly established investment firm in Zurich to appoint a Head of Investment Operations as one of its first strategic hires.

This is a rare opportunity to join an investment business at the beginning of its journey and play a pivotal role in building the operational infrastructure from the ground up.

Working closely with the firm's senior leadership and investment team, you will take ownership of establishing a robust, scalable investment operations function capable of supporting a sophisticated investment strategy.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Leading the selection and implementation of the firm's OMS/PMS
• Establishing relationships with brokers, prime brokers and other key counterparties
• Building effective trade settlement, reconciliation and operational control processes
• Establishing scalable middle and back-office infrastructure
• Managing relationships with administrators, custodians and other third-party service providers
• Developing appropriate operational risk and control frameworks
• Working closely with the investment team to ensure the operational platform supports their trading requirements
• Helping shape the firm's wider operational infrastructure as the business develops

The individual

We are particularly interested in speaking with experienced investment operations professionals from a hedge fund, alternative investment manager, family office or similarly sophisticated investment environment.

You are likely to be operating as a Head of Operations, Head of Investment Operations, COO, Head of Middle Office or Senior Investment Operations professional ready to step into a broader leadership position.

Previous experience of building or significantly developing an investment operations function, implementing an OMS/PMS and managing broker or prime broker relationships would be particularly valuable.

This position will suit someone who combines strong technical investment operations knowledge with a genuinely hands-on and entrepreneurial approach. The successful individual will be comfortable operating in a lean environment where they can make decisions, solve problems and build rather than simply inherit established processes.

Due to the location of the position, candidates already based in Switzerland or with the appropriate right to work in Switzerland will be particularly relevant.
