Job summary

Linde Gas Schweiz AG in Dagmersellen is seeking a Head of Finance & Controlling to lead the Finance & Controlling department, oversee IFRS/US GAAP reporting, manage budgeting and forecasting, and ensure liquidity and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Executive Director Finance, Region South West, supervises 2 direct and 4 indirect reports, and plays a key part in the company’s digital transformation and risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent training.
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in controlling or FP&A.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Swiss GAAP reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Finance & Controlling department and manage both direct and indirect reports.
• Oversee statutory and consolidated IFRS/US GAAP reporting and tax matters.
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and strategic finance initiatives to improve outcomes.

We are currently looking for a Head of Finance & Controlling (m/f/d) for our office in Dagmersellen.

What you will enjoy doing

In this role, you lead the Finance & Controlling department, managing 2 direct reports (1 manager accounting and 1 business controller) and 4 indirect reports (liabilities & receivables), while serving as a member of the Board of Linde Gas Switzerland
Operating within a matrix organization, you report directly to the Executive Director Finance, Region South West
You own and oversee statutory and consolidated financial reporting (IFRS/US GAAP), ensure full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and manage all tax and risk-related matters to safeguard the company’s financial integrity and optimize risk exposure
You drive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, monitor and analyze business performance, and identify and implement measures to continuously improve financial outcomes
You ensure the company’s liquidity by managing planning and necessary financing measures
You also actively participate in the digitalization and automation of processes and contribute to the company’s development toward digital transformation

What makes you great

You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree and have completed further training in accounting, controlling, finance & accounting, or business administration
You bring more than 5 years of managerial experience in a controlling or a similar role (e.g. FP&A, Business Finance)
A good understanding of US GAAP and Swiss GAAP requirements for reporting is required as well as an experience in budgeting and forecasting, combined with a proactive mindset to help shape and improve processes
You possess very strong Excel skills and use ERP systems confidently, ideally SAP
Your ability to structure and leverage unstructured data, from extraction and cleaning through to analysis and presentation, ensures valuable insights
Your strong analytical thinking and ability to translate insights into concrete recommendations for action to the business drives impact
Fluency in English and German is a must, while French language skills are considered as an advantage
Openness to new challenges and a strong motivation to contribute actively to the company’s digital transformation complete your profile
