Job summary

coni + partner ag is seeking a dedicated Team Leader for Head Middle Office Control / Fund Operations in Zürich. You will oversee the investment fund data flows, ensuring accuracy in NAVs, fund figures and reports while guiding a skilled team in a fast-paced asset management environment.

The role requires a Finance or Economics degree, knowledge of Swiss and international funds, and strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and VBA. English fluency is essential; German is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Banking & Finance or Economics required.
• CPA or CISA is advantageous.
• Experience in funds sector or asset management middle office.
• Knowledge of Swiss and international funds.
• Familiarity with FINMA, FMA, CSSF regulations.
• Interest in IT and process automation.
• Programming skills: Python, SQL, VBA; solid database knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Oversee data flows for investment funds (CISA, ETF, UCITS) in the middle office.
• Develop concepts, specifications and best practices; lead the team.
• Supervise data quality, NAV calculations, fund figures and reports.
• Involve in valuation decisions and committees.
• Collaborate with specialist teams; monitor regulatory requirements.
• Plan and implement optimization projects; automate Fund Operations processes.
• Handle ad hoc projects.

Head Middle Office Control / Fund Operations

Your Tasks:

• Within the asset management middle office, responsible for the investment fund sector (CISA, ETF, UCITS), overseeing the reliability of data flows within the department and to custodian banks or companies providing outsourced fund services to banks or fund managers


• Responsible for concepts, specifications, analyses, best practice as well as leading and developing a team


• Responsible for supervising data quality, NAV calculations, fund key figures, cost transparency, PRIIP Key Information Documents, factsheet production and the preparation of fund reports


• Responsible for valuation decisions and involvement in committees and bodies


• Collaborating with various specialist teams and monitoring regulatory requirements


• Planning and implementing optimisation projects with internal and external stakeholders, as well as further developing and automating processes and services within Fund Operations


• Ad hoc projects

Your Profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Banking & Finance or Economics


• CPA or CISA as an advantage


• Professional experience at a Big Four firm a auditor or consultant in the funds sector, in the middle office of an asset management firm, or at a fund service provider


• Knowledge of Swiss and international funds


• Experience of working with fund managers and financial market supervisory authorities such as FINMA, FMA, CSSF, etc.


• Interest for IT and experience with process automation


• Programming skills, e.g. Python, SQL and VBA, as well as database knowledge


• Analytical and conceptual skills with a high attention to detail


• A proactive and communicative personality


• High-performing and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines


• Service-oriented with the ability to pass on information


• Very good knowledge of MS Excel


• Fluency in English; knowledge of German would be an advantage
