Destinus is seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer to design and refine autonomous flight GNC systems for UAVs and other flying platforms. You will develop guidance laws, navigation filters, and control architectures, and implement these in safety-critical software from prototyping to flight-ready deployment.

You will work with Systems Engineering, Simulation & Modelling, Flight Dynamics, Software and Hardware teams to ensure robust performance in challenging environments.

Formación

• MSc in Aerospace Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of GNC engineering on flying systems (UAVs, rockets, missiles).
• Proven experience with GNC algorithm development.
• Experience with SIL and HIL simulations and verification processes.
• Fluency in English (required).
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to document complex engineering work.
• Ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly.

Responsabilidades

• Drive the development of GNC algorithms, including guidance laws, navigation filters, and control architectures with a high level of autonomy.
• Develop, maintain, and extend GNC software for safety-critical applications from prototyping to flight-ready implementation.
• Implement and refine GNC models and algorithms, including inertial navigation, target tracking, autopilot control loops, and seeker processing.
• Build and integrate simulation and test utilities for SIL and HIL configurations to validate GNC functionality across levels.
• Define, decompose, and manage GNC-specific system and software requirements with full traceability.
• Generate clear, structured, and rigorous documentation of algorithm design and validation results.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Simulation & Modelling, Flight Dynamics, Software, and Hardware teams.
• Participate in design and technical reviews, presenting methodologies and performance outcomes.
• Support Simulation-Modelling and Software teams with interface definitions and validation scenarios.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of GNC capabilities, tool chains, and workflows.
