Job summary

Lonza Group in Basel, Switzerland, is seeking a Deputy Treasurer to lead the CHI Treasury strategy and oversee cash management, liquidity planning, and banking relationships on a global scale.

The role requires transforming treasury operations through automation, governance, and risk management while partnering with internal Finance and external institutions to support growth and financial resilience.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in corporate treasury in a complex, multinational environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, funding, and financial risk management.
• Strong knowledge of treasury systems, controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
• Strategic, analytical, and commercially minded with excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead global liquidity management, cash forecasting, working capital optimization, cash pooling, and intercompany funding.
• Manage banking relationships, treasury infrastructure, and technology platforms to support financing activities and letters of credit.
• Oversee foreign exchange, interest rate, counterparty, and liquidity risk management with robust hedging strategies.
• Develop and enhance treasury policies, governance frameworks, and compliance processes for regulatory readiness.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to drive treasury transformation and operational excellence.
