UNFPA in Geneva seeks a Global HIV Coordinator and Technical Adviser to lead HIV prevention strategy and SRHR integration at a global level. The role drives governance, policy and technical direction across the organization and with external partners, including UNAIDS and the Global Fund.

The post requires senior leadership, fundraising collaboration, and strong experience in international health policy, advocacy and program oversight. Fluency in English is essential; French is desirable.

Qualifikationen

• Advanced degree in public health, social sciences, international development, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in HIV prevention, SRHR integration and gender equality.
• Experience leading global policy, strategy and governance work in HIV and SRHR.
• Knowledge of ICPD, UNFPA mandate and UNAIDS familiarity is desirable.
• Familiarity with Geneva-based health institutions and inter-agency collaboration.

Aufgaben

• Discharge governance, representational and coordination responsibilities within the UNAIDS Joint Programme.
• Expand UNFPA visibility in HIV by shaping global policy discussions and partnerships.
• Provide strategic policy guidance to senior management on UNAIDS transition and governance.
• Prepare strategic briefs, speeches, talking points and policy analyses for leadership.
• Lead preparations for PCB meetings and related governance processes.
• Draft annual UBRAF reporting and World AIDS Day communications with senior staff.
• Collaborate with units to ensure timely policy guidance and actor alignment.
