BOBST in Mex (VD) is seeking a Field Service & Commissioning Engineer – Automation & Motion Control for our Web-Fed Solutions External Field Service Pool. This full-time role is based at our Mex (VD) site and involves international travel to support automated production lines.

You will perform commissioning, retrofits, and on-site installations, program Siemens TIA Portal/S7, configure drives, troubleshoot, and train customer teams across Switzerland and other locations.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Strong Siemens TIA Portal and S7 experience.
• Knowledge of drives, VFDs and synchronized motion control.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot industrial systems.
• Proficiency with Windows environments and virtualization; good English (B2).
• Analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Autonomous, organized, and results-oriented.

Aufgaben

• Commission automated production lines in Switzerland and internationally.
• Plan on-site commissioning activities independently.
• Diagnose and resolve complex automation issues.
• Program, modify, and optimize automation systems using Siemens TIA Portal and S7.
• Configure drive systems and synchronized motion axes.
• Troubleshoot on customer sites and remotely.
• Coordinate technical activities with customer teams.
• Validate equipment performance and support final acceptance testing.
• Train customer maintenance and production teams.
• Provide structured reporting to Project Managers and Technical Support teams.
• Contribute to continuous product improvement from field feedback.
