Global Events Project Manager

Job summary

MCI in Zurich, a world-leading live and digital experiences agency, seeks a Project Manager Events to drive client projects from concept to on-site execution.

You will coordinate internal and external teams, manage budgets, and ensure timely delivery across meetings, conferences and incentives for corporate clients. Fluent German and English are required; French or another language is a plus. This 100% role is based in Zurich and offers a dynamic, international environment.

Qualifications

• At least three years of hands-on project management experience in an event agency, delivering meetings and events for corporate clients; a background in hospitality or tourism is a plus.
• Solid understanding of the end-to-end event lifecycle and practical experience with budgets, cost tracking and reconciliation.
• Ability to juggle several workstreams and deadlines while staying accurate and composed.
• Genuinely service-oriented and collaborative personality, constructive and solution-oriented when things get demanding.
• Fluent German and English; French or another language is a plus, as is knowledge of international MICE destinations and venues.

Responsibilities

• Manage your event projects across the full lifecycle, from the client brief, sourcing and planning to participant management, on-site delivery and post-event close-out
• Turn the brief into a clear operational plan, with timelines, task lists and project documentation that keep every phase on track
• Coordinate internal teams, venues and external partners, and act as the day-to-day operational contact for your clients
• Prepare and follow your project budgets, forecasts and reconciliations, and flag variances before they become issues
• Lead venue and supplier sourcing, quotations and negotiations, and support site inspections when required
• Contribute your operational expertise to proposals and client presentations, and take part in debriefs to keep improving how projects are delivered
