Bachem Holding AG in Bubendorf, Switzerland, seeks a Head of Innovation in Engineering to drive the global Engineering Innovation agenda across our manufacturing network. You’ll identify, evaluate and deploy new technologies to boost operational excellence, automation and digitalization in peptide and oligonucleotide production.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Biochemical or Pharmaceutical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
• PhD and/or MBA is a strong plus.
• Minimum 10 years of engineering and manufacturing experience within pharma/biotech/CDMO/CMO.
• Proven leadership 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing technology, innovation or related function.
• Experience with automation, digital manufacturing, AI/ML and smart manufacturing concepts.
• Fluent in English; German is a strong plus.

Aufgaben

• Develop and execute the global Engineering Innovation Strategy and multi-year technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
• Scout, assess, and advance emerging technologies and market trends in peptide/oligonucleotide production and CDMO.
• Lead innovation initiatives across engineering and manufacturing, focusing on automation, digitalization, AI, and analytics.
• Evaluate, pilot, and scale innovative technologies to improve performance and competitiveness.
• Drive digital transformation in Engineering with IT/OT and Automation teams to enhance productivity and compliance.
• Establish governance, manage the innovation portfolio, and develop ROI assessments.
• Build strategic partnerships with tech providers, research institutions, startups, and networks.
• Champion sustainable manufacturing and energy efficiency improvements.
