Job summary

Michael Page International is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to own the electrical scope of a major datacenter project. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate schedules with engineers and the client, and manage costs, QA, and safety documentation to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a trade or tertiary qualification, at least five years in project management, and strong experience with design-and-build environments, industrial relations, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification or relevant third-level qualification.
• Minimum five years of project management experience.
• Proven experience coordinating and managing large installation projects.
• Experience dealing with industrial relations matters.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements.
• Experience within design-and-build project environments.
• Good technical understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Strong IT skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to drive large-scale project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the electrical scope of a major datacenter project.
• Lead site safety activities in collaboration with project and safety teams.
• Manage project quality assurance processes and documentation.
• Coordinate project schedules with management, consulting engineers and client requirements.
• Control package-related costs including labour, subcontractors, materials, plant, equipment, variations and valuations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in project reviews, engineering reviews, planning meetings and handover meetings.
• Support project close-out activities including final accounts, O&M manuals and QA records.
• Produce weekly cost and progress reports.
• Identify and communicate project risks, delays and delivery concerns.
• Coordinate material deliveries in line with project schedules.
• Maintain project photographic records.
