Job summary

Novartis AG in Basel, Switzerland, seeks an Executive Director, International Medical Affairs, Rheumatology, to lead the global medical strategy across the portfolio and develop the International Medical Affairs Rheumatology team. You will shape evidence generation, launch readiness, and medical education while partnering with commercial, access, and development groups to support patient access.

The role requires a Doctorate, 10+ years in Medical Affairs, and fluent English, with a track record

Qualifications

Doctorate-level degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or related discipline.
10+ years of Medical Affairs experience with international or global exposure.
Proven ability to lead and shape international medical strategies and teams.

Responsibilities

Lead the International Medical Affairs Rheumatology team and drive a high-performance culture.
Define and drive the international medical strategy across pipeline, pre-launch, launch, and in-market assets.
Represent International Medical Affairs Rheumatology in senior cross-functional forums.
Shape Integrated Evidence Plans addressing priority market needs and patient access.
Lead international medical launch readiness and execution for priority markets and new indications.
Drive scientific engagement strategies spanning education, publications, and Medical Expert networks.
Build strategic relationships with international thought leaders and medical societies.
