You will engage C‑level customers, shape portfolio offerings, and build a network of channel partners while traveling up to 50% to advance market leadership and digitalization across the sector.

Qualifikationen

• Deep understanding of Data Center market dynamics including hyperscalers, Colos, Neo Clouds and AI factories.
• Strong knowledge of building technologies and digital platforms relevant to data center infra (BMS, EPMS, fire safety, security, digital twins).
• Proven track record of defining and executing strategies with measurable commercial outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to drive results through influence in a global, matrixed environment.

Defining the Future of Data Center Infrastructure

Data Centers are one of the most dynamic and strategically critical verticals in the global economy. Driven by the explosion of AI workloads, hyperscale expansion, and the emergence of Neo Cloud players, the market represents a transformational growth opportunity for Siemens Smart Infrastructure Buildings (SI B).

We are looking for an exceptional Global Data Center Vertical Lead to define and execute SI B's strategy for this vertical - accelerating market penetration, expanding share of wallet, and positioning Siemens as the partner of choice for next-generation data center assets worldwide.

Reporting to the SI B Vertical Lead, you will act as the strategic orchestrator of a global, cross-functional community of Data Center experts - driving alignment, mobilizing expertise, and ensuring cohesive execution across all regions and segments through influence rather than direct authority.

Location

this position will be based in Zug/Switzerland, London/UK or Dublin/Ireland. Prerequisite is your legal eligibility to work in the respective country.

Your New Responsibilities

Strategy & Market Development

• Define and own the SI B Data Center vertical strategy, aligned with global Siemens direction and SI B commercial ambitions
• Develop a comprehensive market segmentation frameworkacross all regions and segments - hyperscale, colocation, enterprise, AI Factory, and Neo Clouds
• Identify white spaces, growth paths, and emerging customer archetypes to continuously evolve SI B's market position
• Translate strategy into clear, actionable execution planswith defined milestones and KPIs

Go-To-Market & Business Development

• Define and implement go-to-market strategies for targeted segments and geographies, ensuring broad and effective market coverage
• Build a strategic network of channel partners, system integrators, and ecosystem players to scale reach and execution
• Drive pipeline creation, customer engagement, and investment proposals for new growth opportunities - including Neo Cloud and AI Factory operators

Portfolio & Offering Development

• Lead the market introduction of new SI B portfolio offerings, translating customer and market needs into actionable inputs for product and solution development
• Collaborate with Business Units to co-create differentiated value propositions with a strong focus on digitalization, energy efficiency, and operational resilience
• Identify portfolio gaps and ensure SI B's offering remains ahead of market needs

Stakeholder Engagement & Community Orchestration

• Animate and coordinate a global community of Data Center functional experts, fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and aligned execution across regions - without direct line management
• Act as the central connector between regional sales teams, business units, marketing, and the SI Global Vertical Lead
• Drive clear priorities, shared frameworks, and strong communication rhythms across the functional community

Thought Leadership & External Influence

• Act as the SI B spokesperson for the Data Center vertical - internally and externally
• Build and maintain C-level relationships with key customers, decision-makers, and ecosystem influencers globally
• Drive thought leadership through industry events, integrated marketing campaigns, and corporate initiatives

Market Intelligence & Performance

• Gather and analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer intelligence to continuously sharpen strategy in collaboration with Global Data Center team
• Define and track vertical KPIs - coverage, penetration, pipeline, revenue growth, and share of wallet
• Provide regular strategic updates to SI B leadership, translating market signals into business decisions

Your Profile

Experience

• 15+ yearsin business development, vertical strategy, or market leadership - within or serving the Data Center industry
• Deep understanding of Data Center market dynamics - hyperscalers, colocations, Neo Clouds, AI Factory operators, regulations, and technology trends
• Strong knowledge of building technologies and digital platformsrelevant to data center infrastructure (BMS, EPMS, fire safety, security, digital twins)
• Proven track record of defining and executing strategieswith measurable commercial outcomes
• Demonstrated ability to drive results through influencein a global, matrixed environment
