Job summary

Sika, a global leader in building and industrial materials, is offering a 12‑month Corporate Compliance Trainee position at its Baar headquarters. You will contribute to integrity initiatives, collaborate across functions, and help develop tools, guidance, and training for a wide employee base.

Ideal candidates are pursuing or recently completed a degree in Compliance or related fields, with strong ethics, analytical thinking, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Compliance, Law, Regulatory Affairs, Business Ethics, Governance, or a related field.
• Strong integrity, sound judgment, and a reliable, responsible working style.
• Curious and eager to learn, with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Well-organized, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with others.
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for working in an international and multicultural environment.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; German and additional languages are an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications; interest in digital and AI-enabled tools is a plus.
• Previous experience through internships, student employment, volunteer work, international exposure, or extracurricular activities is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate Compliance team on global initiatives and collaborate with colleagues across functions, countries, and cultures.
• Help develop and improve compliance tools, guidance materials, and audit checklists.
• Contribute to compliance training, awareness initiatives, and communication activities for employees worldwide.
• Research and analyze new regulations, emerging compliance topics, and business trends, translating findings into concise briefings or recommendations.
• Develop practical compliance tools, guidance materials, and audit checklists.
• Prepare presentations and reports for management.
• Coordinate project activities from planning to implementation and progress reporting.
• Take ownership of assignments and bring a fresh perspective to the team.
