Job summary

Roche Basel seeks an experienced Communications Manager to lead external and internal communications aligned with the group strategy. The role focuses on crafting narratives, campaigns, and tools to engage stakeholders across functions and geographies.

You will partner with Group Communications and business partners to drive integrated campaigns, coach leaders, and advance a cohesive corporate voice that supports Roche’s health mission and strategic priorities. Basel-based, with a global remit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, PR, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in communications with external focus in pharma/diagnostics.
• Ability to lead indirectly and influence outcomes.
• International or global work experience.
• Proven ability to develop and manage global communications strategies and teams.
• Strong strategic agility and industry knowledge in healthcare/diagnostics.
• Excellent consulting, listening, and coaching skills.
• Outstanding influencing, negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-driven in a non-hierarchical, team-based environment.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

• Drive planning and delivery of integrated communications strategies and campaigns.
• Align communications goals to overall priorities and support change communications.
• Develop tools and strategies to engage a diverse workforce and leaders.
• Oversee end-to-end integrated planning with measurement against objectives.
• Maintain knowledge of Diagnostics Customer Service and apply insights.
• Stay informed on internal and external developments affecting comms.
