Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Global Strategic AI Portfolio Manager to lead the enterprise AI portfolio, drive prioritization, governance, and investment alignment, turning strategy into measurable business value at scale across the organization.

With 8+ years in portfolio management and a Master’s degree, you will shape roadmaps, define lifecycle gates, and partner with business units and IT to ensure consistent execution and return on AI investments globally. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in strategic portfolio management or enterprise programs.
• 3+ years leading complex AI/digital transformations with executives.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to translate AI opportunities into portfolio decisions.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise AI use case portfolio and define intake criteria, prioritization logic, scaling assessments, and resource allocation guidance.
• Maintain and evolve the enterprise AI roadmap with milestones and investment priorities.
• Define and operate AI lifecycle management practices, including lifecycle gates and readiness criteria.
• Continuously monitor portfolio performance and identify opportunities for acceleration or remediation.
• Ensure portfolio transparency through centralized tracking systems, governance dashboards, and leadership reporting.
• Define AI impact measurement and value realization frameworks with business stakeholders.
• Orchestrate cross-functional collaboration across Business Units, IT, and Federated Domains.
• Engage with leads and governance bodies to provide structured portfolio analysis and investment recommendations.
• Manage a team of 8 FTEs.
