Big Science Sweden seeks a Geodesist in the Geodetic Metrology group at CERN. In this position, you will contribute to FCC studies, developing gravity field models for the 91 km tunnel and supporting alignment of accelerator components.

This role requires a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of experience or a PhD with up to 3 years of experience. You’ll also collaborate with CERN-Swisstopo on the quasi-geoid model necessary for Switzerland’s New Height System.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a Master’s degree with 2 to 6 years of experience or a PhD with a maximum of 3 years of experience.
• Experience must be post-graduation; a Bachelor’s degree is insufficient.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to FCC studies and develop gravity field models.
• Support sub-millimetric alignment of accelerator components and detectors.
• Work with CERN-Swisstopo on quasi-geoid model for Switzerland's New Height System.
