WinGD Ltd. in Winterthur is seeking a General Manager Global Sales to lead the worldwide sales and promotion activities for our two-stroke engines. You will own relationships with shipyards and ship owners, drive market growth, and collaborate with internal teams to align product strategies with customer needs.

You will represent the brand at conferences and events, manage CRM, and deliver BI reports to support strategic decisions. A multi-cultural, globally distributed team environment awaits.

Qualifikationen

• MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
• Solid experience in the merchant shipping market.
• Product knowledge of 2-stroke applications.
• Strong leadership and customer relationship skills.
• Willingness to extensive business travel.
• Fluent in English; German not required.

• Own and develop relationships with key customers (shipyards and ship owners) in the region.
• Represent WinGD at industry forums, conferences and events to strengthen market presence.
• Drive customer support in cooperation with BUs, local offices and partners, including supervision during warranty phases.
• Develop CRM systems, deliver business intelligence reports and market insights for decisions.
• Plan and execute regional marketing and sales activities with support from Marketing & Communication.
• Bridge market needs to Product Management and supervise portfolio matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive global sales and promotion activities, managing and developing the sales department to achieve targets for sales volume, market share, and order intake margins
• Own and develop relationships with key customers (shipyards and ship owners) in the region, ensuring high customer satisfaction through consistent communication and support throughout the product lifecycle
• Represent WinGD as a brand ambassador at industry forums, conferences, and events to strengthen market presence and build strategic partnerships
• Drive customer support and satisfaction in close cooperation with business units, local offices, and partners - including supervision during warranty and operational phases
• Develop and maintain CRM systems, deliver business intelligence reports, and provide market insights to support strategic decision-making
• Plan and execute marketing and sales activities in the region with support from WinGD Marketing & Communication team
• Bridge market and product, translating customer requirements and market trends to Product Management while supervising product portfolio matters

Requirements

• MSc. in Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture, or equivalent
• Solid experience in the merchant shipping market
• Product know how of 2-stroke applications
• Strong customer relationship management & leadership competencies
• Sound experience in explaining complex technical facts
• Team player, acting with multi-cultural team members and customers
• Problem solving & forward-thinking mentality
• Willingness to extensive business travel
• Strong command in English. German is not a must
