Zusammenfassung

Idiap Research Institute in Martigny, Switzerland, is recruiting a fully funded PhD student to join the Robot Learning & Interaction group.

The PhD will be part of the DECOR project (Diffusion-based Ergodic Coverage for Robotics), supported by SNSF and HRZZ, with enrollment through EPFL's EDEE doctoral program.

We seek a Master in Robotics, CS, EE, or AI, with interest in optimal control and robot learning from small datasets, and experience with Python and real robots.

Qualifikationen

  • Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, AI or related field.
  • Interest in optimal control, model-based optimization.
  • Experience with real robots and Python software components is a plus.

Aufgaben

  • Conduct research on ergodic control and automatic exploration/coverage for robot manipulation or aerial robots.
  • Collaborate on the DECOR project with the SNSF/HRZZ and EPFL, enrolling through EPFL's EDEE doctoral program.
