ETH Zurich is seeking a talented Full-Stack Software/Data Engineer to support LOOP BMIP, enabling researchers to access clinical data securely and efficiently. You will design data-centric software components, pipelines, and interfaces, collaborating with partners across institutions.

The role emphasizes modern technologies, automation, and data availability for healthcare research. The ideal candidate has a CS/Data Science background, experience with Django REST Framework, Vue.js, Linux

Competenze

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data-centric full-stack software solutions.
• Experience developing web apps with Django REST Framework, Vue.js, or similar.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and scripting (bash, python).
• In-depth knowledge of container technologies like Docker.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

NEXUS is a leading provider of innovative solutions in the field of personalized health technology. We are looking for a talented and experienced Full-Stack Software/Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you are responsible for the conception and implementation of data-centric software solutions incorporating modern technologies. You support research by providing easy access tohealth data and make a valuable contribution to the further development of the healthcare system in Switzerland.

Project background

In this role, you will work on the LOOP Zurich Biomedical Informatics Platform ( LOOP BMIP ), which gives researchers streamlined access to clinical data. The platform consists of multiple distributed software components running in a high-security processing environment. You will also collaborate regularly with our partners at the participating institutions.

Responsibilities

• You independently plan, design and implement data-centric full-stack software solutions from database modeling to API structuring to user interface design and implementation, primarily using Postgres, Django REST Framework and Vue.js
• You develop data pipelines to extract, transform, store, and make data available and interoperable
• You manage and maintain your solutions on secure platforms with a high level of automation
• You manage your projects independently and collaborate with various stakeholders
• You collaborate with cross-functional projectteams to understand data requirements and provide guidance on data structure, availability and usage

Profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
• Proven experience in designing and implementing data-centric full-stack software solutions
• Experience in developing web applications using frameworks such as Django REST Framework, Vue.js or similar
• Experience in working with Linux/Unix operating systems andwriting scripts (e.g. bash, python)
• In-depth knowledge of container technologies such as Docker or similar
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written
