DeepMind (GDM) in Zurich invites a Share Research Scientist to advance frontier AI. You will lead foundational research, develop next-generation architectures, and collaborate with global researchers and engineers to create models that reason across modalities.

You will push benchmarks, guide research directions, and publish in top conferences, contributing to a world-class Frontier AI team within Google DeepMind.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in machine learning, CS, statistics or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience leading a research agenda.
• Experience in deep learning and Python with neural network training.
• Experience training, evaluating, and interpreting large multimodal models and LLMs.
• A publication record in NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, ICLR, ICCV or ECCV.

Aufgaben

• Define and lead ambitious research projects, setting technical direction and agenda.
• Design and implement innovative model architectures for diverse data modalities.
• Develop benchmarks for evaluating frontier AI systems across diverse capabilities, reasoning tasks, and domains.
• Contribute to the research strategy and influence the community through publications.
