Job summary

Jobgether SRL in Switzerland seeks a Frontend Desktop Engineer to build a cross‑platform desktop app using React and TypeScript. You will work on a peer‑to‑peer, serverless communication platform, delivering high‑performance UI and robust architecture across macOS, Windows, and Linux.

You will join a globally distributed, autonomous team focused on private digital collaboration, open‑source initiatives, and secure data control.

Qualifications

• Proven professional experience with React or Preact and TypeScript/JavaScript in production-scale apps.
• Strong frontend state management knowledge (Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand or similar).
• Clean, modular, well-tested code and experience debugging complex frontend apps.
• Interest in peer-to-peer technologies and decentralized systems.
• Experience with Electron, Tauri, or similar desktop runtimes is a plus.
• Knowledge of macOS/Windows/Linux cross‑platform development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve a cross‑platform desktop app built with React.
• Create responsive UIs and robust frontend architecture using modern JS/TS practices.
• Manage application state with Redux, Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or equivalents.
• Write modular, well-tested code to ensure long-term reliability and scalability.
• Test, debug, and optimize front-end performance for desktop environments.
• Collaborate with a remote, international team on decentralized communication tools.
• Contribute to peer‑to‑peer features for messaging, file sharing, and real‑time communication.
