Job summary

Blox Space is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit inside banking teams and drive deployments from kickoff to production across Europe. You will handle integrations and customizations in customer environments, delivering bank-grade solutions with an AI-first approach.

The ideal candidate has deep financial-industry knowledge, hands-on experience with Kafka and Azure, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

The Role

The company is one of the foundational names in Bitcoin infrastructure, founded in 2014 and today a market leader in Bitcoin security and Layer-2 technologies, serving financial institutions (private, retail and universal banks) with custody, tokenization and treasury products.
A Forward Deployed Engineer sits inside the customer's team and delivers: embedded alongside the bank's own people, you take a deployment from kickoff to production, handling the integration and customization the project needs, not just the code. Think customer success on steroids, the evolution of the solutions engineer who works in real uncertainty and ships. We're not looking for the perfect CV, we're looking for the right mind.
What matters most here is that you understand how banks actually work: financial-industry experience weighs more than digital-asset expertise. The responsibilities of a Forward Deployed Engineer here can range from delivering integrations and customizations inside the customer's environment (typically serverless, on Azure, talking to Kafka and core-banking systems), to using AI-first prototyping to close the last-mile gaps between the product and what the client needs, to supporting the full project lifecycle hand in hand with the bank's teams, to feeding every gap you find back to the product team as a future feature or a custom build.

The skills that make the difference

• Several years delivering projects inside financial institutions, ideally 5+: you've run integration projects with private, retail or universal banks end to end, not just a coding slice.
• Financial-industry understanding first, digital assets second: you get how a bank operates; the Bitcoin side can be learned.
• Hands-on with bank-grade tech: Kafka integrations, at least one of the big-three clouds (Azure is what banks use), serverless architectures.
• A blend of technical and functional: you can build, but you also speak the business language of the project and the client.
• AI-first prototyping: you use modern AI tooling to stand up working solutions fast, under real uncertainty.
• German is a strong plus and French is welcome, alongside excellent English.

Working arrangements

This role is based in Zurich, Switzerland, where most of the clients are, with regular travel to customer sites across Europe. Candidates should already be based in Switzerland or hold a European visa; strong profiles willing to relocate are considered. Working arrangements are flexible and defined together with the reference team.
