Job summary

Try&Hire is seeking a scientifically minded professional to develop oral solid dosage formulations and lead manufacturing process development in Basel, Switzerland. The role covers from early-stage to GMP-compliant production, with onsite work and potential permanent placement after interim period.

You will plan experiments with cross-functional teams, document results, and transfer procedures to GMP facilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in pharmaceutical development.
• Experience with unit operations in lab/pilot plant.
• Experience using digital data recording tools.
• Strong knowledge of galenics and formulation/process development.
• Proficient with laboratory tools.
• English proficiency; German or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust manufacturing processes including scale-up.

Job description

The role develops formulations and manufacturing processes for oral solid dosage forms of small molecules, from first-in-human trials through to marketing phase.

Your tasks

• Plan, coordinate, perform and document scientific experiments with functional and project leads
• Develop phase-appropriate formulations for oral drug products
• Develop efficient and robust manufacturing processes including scale-up
• Transfer procedures and instructions to GMP production facilities, including troubleshooting
• Support manufacture of clinical supplies under GMP conditions
• Document, evaluate and interpret raw data and propose next experiments
• Contribute to investment projects and maintenance of infrastructure and equipment

What you bring

• Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related discipline (MSc, BSc with experience, or equivalent)
• Around 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical development of oral solid dosage forms
• Experience with pharmaceutical technologies and unit operations in lab, technicum or pilot plant setting
• Experience applying digital tools such as e-Lab Notebook and digital data recording
• Good scientific/technical knowledge of galenics and formulation/process development
• Proficient with laboratory and/or technical tools
• Proficiency in English required; German and/or French an advantage
