Job summary

International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) is seeking a Substitute Teacher for the Middle School at our Zug campus (grades 6–8) to cover classes as needed. The role collaborates with Assistant Principals to ensure continuity when teachers are absent, with days/times varying and no formal contract.

• Qualified and experienced teacher across a range of ages.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills in English.
• Ability to work in a team and independently while maintaining confidentiality.
• Swiss or EU passport/work permit or valid Swiss visa.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for Middle School teachers under direction of the Assistant Principals.
• Follow day plans and provide feedback on student learning.
• Support students with medical/learning/behavioral needs within routines.
• Communicate with parents via the teacher when appropriate.
• Assist with outdoor learning and lunchroom supervision.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Middle School Principal or Assistant Principals.
