Job summary

EMEA Recruitment is partnering with a confidential international organisation to recruit a Finance Manager based in Switzerland (Zurich). This is a broad, hands-on role covering accounting, reporting, and controlling within a global environment.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, lead a small finance team, and drive financial performance and governance while preparing for a future Head of Finance position.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification is advantageous.
• Significant experience in finance within international environment.
• Strong IFRS and local GAAP knowledge.
• Experience in FMCG/Retail/Wholesale.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, reporting, and month-end and year-end closes.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and performance analysis.
• Provide financial insight and business partnering to senior leadership.
• Lead relationships with external auditors, banks and advisors.
• Maintain internal controls, governance and compliance processes.
• Lead, develop and support a small finance team.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and reporting.

EMEA Recruitment is working with a confidential international organisation to recruit a Finance Manager based in Switzerland.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional to take on a broad, hands-on role across accounting, reporting, controlling within a global environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders and leading a small finance team, you will play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening governance, and improving finance operations, while developing the leadership experience needed to progress into a future Head of Finance role.

Fluency in both German and English is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting, reporting, and month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial performance analysis.
• Provide financial insight and business partnering support to senior leadership, contributing to strategic decision-making.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, advisors, banks, and key stakeholders.
• Maintain robust internal controls, governance, and compliance processes.
• Lead, support, and develop a small finance team, encouraging collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and improve the overall efficiency of finance operations.

Candidate Profile

• Degree qualified in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
• A professional accounting qualification would be advantageous.
• Significant experience across finance, ideally within an international business environment.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and/or local GAAP.
• Experience in FMCG/Retail/Wholesale
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to engage at senior level.
• Fluent in both German and English.
