Job summary

UNITED MACHINING is seeking a Field Service Engineer for Eastern Switzerland to perform commissioning, repairs and maintenance of milling machines at customer sites. The role includes upgrades, fault analysis and close collaboration with the diagnostics team.

You will mainly operate at customer sites in Eastern Switzerland, with occasional work at the Biel production site. English fluency and hardware/software skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training and experience with machine tools.
• Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and sensors.
• Knowledge of Heidenhain and Siemens control systems is an advantage.
• Hardware and software skills and MS Office proficiency.
• Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Carry out commissioning, repairs and maintenance on milling machines at customer sites in the Eastern Switzerland region.
• Perform upgrades and overhauls on existing equipment.
• Analyse faults and ensure fast and reliable troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Work closely with our diagnostics team and maintain regular technical and professional exchange.
• Occasionally work at our Biel production site.
