Flink Robotics is a fast-paced startup focused on autonomous plug-and-play robots for material handling. The Field Robotics Engineer will install, commission and continuously improve systems at customer sites, travel up to 60% and engage with cross-functional teams on the shop floor.

You will join a VC-backed early-stage company in Zurich, leading on-site deployments, testing perception and motion modules, and training operators while feeding feedback to the roadmap.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of experience in mechatronics, sensors, networking and basic control principles.
• Strong track record in commissioning complex electromechanical or robotic systems in the field.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Willingness to travel up to 60% to production sites and events.
• Driver's license; Linux familiarity; German or other languages a plus.

Aufgaben

• Assemble, configure and test robots in the lab and at customer sites to iterate and improve the system.
• Own planning, coordination and execution of on-site installations as technical lead and handover to customers.
• Run the autonomy stack and tune perception and motion modules in production environments.
• Train operators and provide hands-on support during ramp-up, feeding insights to the product roadmap.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues, remotely and on-site.
• Represent Flink at customer demos, pilots, trade shows and industry events.
• Record field data and transfer lessons learned to engineering teams to unlock new use-cases.

Flink Robotics is a fast-paced startup backed by world-class VCs, originating from the Computational Robotics Lab at ETH Zurich. We're building the next generation of plug-and-play robots, powered by a novel approach to make robots autonomous. Our robots are designed to revolutionize material handling, from stacking boxes to sorting parcels and unloading goods.

We're looking for a hands-on Field Robotics Engineer who loves debugging, stress-testing and is ready to install robots that move the world’s parcels. In this role, you'll be the face of Flink at customer sites and industry events, making sure every system is rigorously tested, commissioned and continuously improved.

Who you are

• Eager to join a VC-backed startup in its early phase and take ownership of field projects.


• Passionate about robotics: from mechanics and electronics to computer vision and control.


• Proactive problem-solver wanting to learn new things


• Clear communicator, fluent in English, German is a strong plus.


• Excited about frequent travel to production sites (up to 60 %).


• Enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and customers on the shop floor, adapting your style to the people and pressure in the room.

What you bring
