Job summary

agap2 Switzerland is seeking an Expert SAP PP/DS Consultant to bring strong technical and functional expertise to an SAP optimization project in Basel. You will assess current PP/DS solutions, identify inefficiencies, and drive improvements in production planning and detailed scheduling.

You will work independently with business, IT and process teams, sharing best practices from diverse industrial environments and contributing to system performance and usability enhancements.

Qualifications

• University degree in Engineering, IT, Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field.
• Expert-level SAP PP/DS experience with proven optimization beyond implementation.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, detailed scheduling, and finite capacity planning.
• Solid knowledge of SAP PP integration with other SAP modules and supply chain processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or embedded PP/DS is highly appreciated.

Responsibilities

• Optimize and improve existing SAP PP/DS applications, processes and configurations.
• Analyze and enhance production planning and detailed scheduling functionalities.

• Analyze and optimize planning parameters, master data and scheduling strategies.
• Work closely with business, IT and process teams to define and implement improvement actions.
• Support the resolution of complex SAP PP/DS issues and provide expert guidance to project stakeholders.
• Share best practices and lessons learned from different industrial environments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of system performance, usability and production planning efficiency.

Profile

• University degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Supply Chain, Operations Management or a related field.
• Strong professional experience with SAP PP/DS, with an expert-level understanding of the solution.
• Proven experience optimizing and improving existing SAP PP/DS solutions, beyond implementation or daily support.
• Strong understanding of production planning, detailed scheduling, finite capacity planning and production sequencing.
• Solid knowledge of SAP PP integration with other SAP modules and supply chain processes.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or embedded PP/DS is highly appreciated.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, CDMO or chemical manufacturing industries is a strong advantage.
• Experience working across different companies or industrial environments is appreciated.
• Ability to work independently and challenge existing processes constructively.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
